Using fly floatant properly

When using paste floatants on most dry flies… don’t put too much on… Floatant doesn’t really float anything, it waterproofs it so just put a small amount on your fingers rub until it melts (almost instantly) and dress the tail and hackles with the lightest of coats. Any further treatment should be done with a desiccant.
